I nodded sleepily. "Yeah..." They were always waking up in the middle of the night screaming.
"What happened in your nightmare?" He asked gently. I shivered.

After all of her hopes, her plans, her belief that things would turn out, all she had done was delayed the inevitable. Imprisoning him a thousand years ago hadn't stopped him, nor had his defeat at the Crystal Empire when he was free. She had failed to stop him completely, and now she was about to pay the price.
